Bus Industry Confederation membership comes with a list of bespoke benefits. Become a part of the national body for the Australian bus and coach industry.

VBIC members are part of bus and coach’s solution providers, offering products or services to assist with connectivity and social inclusion, reduction of climate change, emissions and congestion.

The BIC mandate is to ensure that the business interests of our industry are protected, to actively advocate for better and increased public transport and school services, to grow tour, charter, long distance and other commercial bus and coach services, and to increase infrastructure funding.

Much of what we do is make sure that governments keep our moving people task at top of mind when they are making policy decisions about transport, our cities and regions and how money is spent. We advocate for public transport growth, including more passengers, more bus services and increase bus and coach tourism, charter and commercial businesses grow. This has a direct impact on the profitability and viability of operators, manufacturers, component suppliers and professional services.

The BIC is also charged with making sure that bus and coach continues to have a major role in national and state planning for Australian communities, cities and regional centres. We also put a lot of effort into technical and operational aspects that impact the day-to-day business of bus operators, manufacturers and suppliers.
